Taman Negara , Pahang

Taman Negara is simply means "National Park" in English Language. It was established in 1939 and it is known to be one of the oldest rainforest in the world. This park is rich with flora and fauna. Taman Negara or also known as National Park was covers an area of about 4343 squares killometers in the states of Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan in Malaysia. This Taman Negara is the most extensive protected area of lush green rainforest in the country where commercial logging is prohibited. Gunung Tahan or also known as Tahan Mountain is also the home of this Taman Negara with the highest peak of 2187 meters in Peninsular Malaysia.

We can do many activities and we will get such a great experience at Taman Negara, Pahang. For example ;
  • Canopy Walk
We can walk along the bridge at 510m long and 45m above the ground level. This activity will give us a great experience and it will be a memorable memories to us by walk on the top the forest. We also can see the view from the top and all the species of flora and fauna.

  •  Rapid Shooting
 

This Rapid Shooting that faces seven rapids along Tembeling River and also we must get ready for the wet and wild experience.
  • Cave Exploration 

This cave exploration where we can explore the limestone cave such as Gua Telinga. This cave also is the home to various bat, racer snakes and many fascinating insects. It must guarantee fun and excitement moments. We also can spend a night at Kepayang Besar, Kepayang Kecil or Daun Menari for more adventure .
  •  Jungle Trekking
 

For those who loves to do the extreme and adventures activities, I'm sure that they likes go to Jungle Trekking. It is the most adventures trail about 1.7 km to Bukit Teresek and takes about 30 to 45 minutes to reach its peak. A magnificient panaromic view of Gunung Tahan can we watch from the 334m height of the hill. Among the other popular trail are Lubok Simpon (20-30 min), Gua Telinga (2hr 30 min - 3hr), Bumbun Kumbang Hide (4hr) and Lata Berkoh (5hr)

  • Night Jungle Walk

We can discover the side of the jungle which comes alive at night and feel the sense of the jungle at night. There we will get more experience.
  • Animals Observations

Spend nights hidden up on the trees while waiting for the tapir, elephantor bear to appear at observation hides.
  • Fishing
 

Fisghing is one of the main attractions to Taman Negara for those likes to fishing. The fishing months are during the drier months in February to April or June to August. For those who wants to fishing here, they need permits which issued at RM 10 per rod.
  • Boat Cruise to Lata Berkoh

Cruise along Sungai Tahan to relish the riverside flora and fauna. Along the way, stop by the Fish Sanctuary chance to snorkel amongst fresh water fishes.
  • Visiting Kampung Orang Asli

We can know how the local natives who lead a nomadic lifestyle in Taman Negara and see how their life as a nomadic.
  • Mount Tahan Climbing

The most adventurous  activities. Climbing the highest peak in Peninsular Malaysia which is Gunung Tahan. The trail is 53km from Mutiara Taman Negara.
